Does anyone out there have dimensional data and/or photos/drawings of the "Industrial" wheels and tires used on the Fordson tractors?  Maybe I'm a Google dummy, but I cannot seem to find any online so thought I would tap the vast knowledge base that we have right here.

Many thanks.

I went through my sadly large collection and found I have not been saving many industrial tractors. Hopefully Gordon has some dimensions. The wheelbase is 63", so you might be able to do some close photo scaling.

Many thanks for the photos Chuck!  I too hope that Gordon has dimensions.  It appears to me from the photos that the front wheels might be slightly larger in diameter than the "farm" front wheels, since  it almost looks like the "nose" of the tractor sits a little higher on the industrial ones.

Another interesting thing to me is that there seem to be a number of variants - some with holes through, some with bolts around the perimeter, some with strengthening webs near the hubs, etc.

Thanks again for the help.

I think the plain ones seen in the bottom photo are Ford factory. I think the more interesting ones are aftermarket designs. I'm kind of drawn to the ones on that rusty Fordson. Have fun!

Right back home and opened up this thread and discovered that as has happened before "we are two peoples seperated by a common language"

To me industrial tractors are one with pneumatic tyres , which I do have both wheel & tyre sizes for , not solid tyres.

However I do have some side elevation  drawings of the types you are interested in but I am just too tired after a day of travelling to scan them tonight ..... Will do them in the morning and post then

Hmm. I made an assumption too Gordon. Both types are correct for industrial tractors.

Huh.  Honestly did not know that there were pneumatic tires available on the Fordson, except perhaps on the after market.  The style that Chuck assumed was the only one I knew of.  The solid ones are what I'm looking for.  At the moment I'm lining up some Fall projects, since we plan to be boating for most of the summer.

Thanks for all help!

Finally, sorry for delay

And from

Now appreciate no scales shown , but should easy enough to compare known length of tank , etc, to calculate a figure for the wheels

Quick check shows that these books are available USA

At these prices and if you want info on Fordsons these are really useful books , pictures are great and although content is a bit haphazard in the sense you need to cross ref across pages there is a stack of useful info

Thanks Gordon, excellent info! The 63" wheelbase should work to help scale those drawings.

Both books you suggested were received today, and eagerly leafed through.  Many thanks for the input Gordon.  For the data included at the price paid, I virtually "stole" these books!

I cannot thank you enough!
