hi all this series of photoes are taken in the former workshops, new south wales railways eveleigh, sydney .most of the workshops have been recycled for a variety of uses.very empire in there look .

yep this place used to be the home of british made .all the locoes etc were made on site.
funny there is a really purtant example of the british empire being demolished on the foreshore of sydney harbour at the moment,it is a huge hammer head crane lifting capicity 250 tons.finished in 1951 paid for by the british to service there far eastern fleet.really the british fleet in asia 1951 i think they got there centuries mixed up.
apart from that i am really p-off that the crane is going it would be great to find pictures of its interior.the usa went one better and had a travelling boom crane on the hammerheads boom cool
