I like that and had a quick look some of the linked photos and thought this might be of interest to some .......... interesting  width/depth of the boards on the siding

That's a great old building, really love the fancy rafter ends under the eaves.

Gordon, I've seen siding like that down south (everywhere is south of me BTW) and heard it called novelty siding. It is usually a full 3/4" or more thick and has a ship lapped joint.

Boy, I would really like to see a pic of this store/gas station when it was in business.  Must have had a sign hanging from the front on the metal pole still there.

Also, in the pic of the back window, does anybody seem to see a person's head and part of the body in there looking back at us?
