Morning all, post has just arrived with an airmail packet from Dave at Vectorcut. (http://www.vectorcut.com/)
While ordering some bit's & pieces ............. and I would recommend Dave's new square holed gratings, we had a brief discussion on Steam Valve handles

I have struggled to scratch build these myself, tried some photo etch ones but they were too thin, opened my package and look what I found

Just about perfect !

No, not a shareholder of Vectorcut just a very satisfied customer ...... thanks Dave

Very stylish!
How much did those set you back?

Ooooh!  Very nice. I can use about 4 packs of those...will ahve to order some. Thanks for the heads up.

I have been using his bolt heads for a while now ...most often my "go to" for this detail...and am almost out.

hah, you're welcome and thanks, Gordon.   I tossed those in with Gordon's order as a courtesy, since he gave me a good idea for things to include in a future product.   When I release Gears & Handwheels Volume 2, it will include a bunch of small valve handwheels like these.

Any chance you'll enter the 1/24 scale market?

Dave already does the manhole covers and sewer grates in 1/24.  Now if I could just get him to do the Gaskets and Belts, and the Builders ANNO plates too, I'd be a happy man!

Seriously, Dave and I have exchanged email, and there are a few limitations in "scaling up" some of the items he does, but the street scene stuff he did for me are nothing but perfect!

I would also love to see those hose bibb/valve handles available in 1/24.

Well, I don't have use for the street stuff but I sure could use more tools, valves, gears, and other automotive related bric a brac.

I live in the UK and am a big fan of VECTORCUT and have been trying to contact Dave to order some more stuff - no reply from the email on the website.

Dave!  Dave - are you still around?  Dave - are you reading this?

If anyone has knowledge of Dave please post details or send me a PM.

Thanks
