Really appreciate this thread—1/35 is my go-to scale for armor, and I've always wanted to add some realistic track sections under a parked railcar or as part of a depot scene. The tips on rust and wood grain are super helpful. Has anyone tried integrating working couplers or just static ones for realism?

I look forward to photos from your next show. -- Russ

Thank you, Russ! I will keep this a running project, still work to do. Some minor technical issues are to be resolved first, they now work against us in running the layout in the way it should be. After that I will give the scenery a minor boost with some updated grenery. I also will give the modules some fresh paint on the outside to give it a more 2025 look  :)

But I do it with much enthousiasm to keep Jacq's legacy alive.

Als found some logging stuff in my own stash, a Morgan Hill Models 20ft flatcar and some disconnects from Steam in the Bush. Both companies don't exist anymore.

Later more!
