This project of building a 1:60 model of a Boeing 777 completely out of manilla file folders was started several years ago by architectural student Luca laconia-Stewart. I don't think it has been posted on these forums before - at least a search here did not find any links. I do not use superlatives lightly but project is astounding! Here is a short YouTube 2 minute overview just to whet your interest.

But that does not scrape the surface of this depth of this project.

This next YouTube link is to a series of 14 (long) videos of the fabrication of different parts of the project. Part 1 shows a static load test of the functional landing gear system. WARNING this is a massively time consuming expedition, do not begin without adequate preparation to be mesmerized. You will never look at modeling with paper the same way again. This isn't hype, if anything it is understated. Enjoy!

If the above series looks too long for you, at least watch part of the video about building the landing gear as representative of some of the other operating systems on the model. And there are also a number of short -2-3 min video overviews of different parts of the project.

Here is a more recent project by Luca, commissioned by Singapore Airlines that shows some of his skills

Another lunatic who, as I, builds with paper. Only he's competent. -- Russ
