Thanks for posting the link. Growing up in So Cal during the 60's, his designs had an influence on me. I built quite a few of his model car kits back in the day.

I remember Big Daddy Roth from the early 60's when I was into custom cars of the 1/25th variety . He seemed to be a refreshing change , given the "lead slead" look of the time with George Barris and all . His " Outlaw " street rod really blew me away and was even wilder than Norm Grabowski's T that was driven by Edd " Kooky " Burns on 77 Sunset Strip .
I got to meet Big Daddy hisself at the Custom Car Show in Detroit ....bought a weirdo shirt from him and probably a model or two he was peddling . I was in awe . Thanks for the link .

I remember Big Daddy well.   Many inspirations came from him and George Barris when I was building my first cars.

Back in my hotrodding days, I was doing the electrics on custom choppers to make some extra bucks. One of the bikes I did was a three wheeler with a 302 Ford V8 coupled to a C-4 automatic. It was originally built by Ed Roth though no longer belonged to him. Interesting bike and fairly fast in its day though I thought it looked more like a V-8 tractor than a bike.
