Hi Michael,

the model, it is always important to find a solution how to do it and this solution is then to use them.

But I had to learn early in my training and again, how to do certain work without any aids.

My education work from 1964 is a cube.

Hello Nelson,

It is all of us are actually not so that we can make models for the sake of it and enjoy every hour.

Now I have to just be lucky pensioners and am now finally able to do everything alone, of which I could only dream of many years.

Hi all,

I have since continued to build.

BBA model front.

BBA model back with openable cover for the electrical control.

BBA model for charging open battery box.

In addition, my BBA has indeed the first use in the 11th International Lahnsteiner model railroad days survived well.

That's a great looking piece of modeling Helmut.

Coming along nicely!
Two questions;
1) why are the (new) upper parts grey and not brass?
2) who is doing the etching for you?

Many thanks to Ray, Nelson and Marty,

but I want to answer the questions of Marty.

1) why are the (new) gray upperparts and not brass?
They are etched from nickel silver.
Nickel silver is for thin sheets, because of the higher stability even more suitable, such as brass.

2) who is doing the etching for you?
I leave everything in "Ätztechnik Herbert Caspers GmbH & Co. KG in Solingen" etch.

Wow. Wirklich Super.

Its almost too pretty to paint.......but I look forward to seeing what you are going to do with it paint-wise.

Hi Marc,

definitely my BBA will be painted.

But first I have to build many small parts missing.
I hope that the locomotive will thereby gain even further.

Especially in the control stand of BBA still missing many parts.

Hello,

new here and updates to my BBA.

With the Eplositions protected lamps of the model, it should finally move on.

So the lamp housing to the design of Volker should be.

That came after the plot of the file out of it.
But unfortunately it lacks the finer points of the hex nuts as is nothing more to see.
All this put together Volker neither satisfied nor me.

The lamp housing again for comparison with a coin and the milled additional parts.

This is the first Unsuccessful attempt to manufacture the cable entry.
Unfortunately, only half succeeded, because only 0.1 mm wall thickness that travels easily in milling off and disappears into the exhaust system.

So I'll probably increase the wall thickness to scale and try again.

I'm starting to get the desired result of a full scale grommet detail.

Unfortunately, still not good enough.

Thus, the lamp housings should actually look to plan.
What came out of it, I've already shown.
The lettering Volker had already been removed at the request of the company before.

During my 3 attempt the grommet looks now from already used.
The trappings is milled from me for the rest of the lamp holder ring.

Now the protective rings around the case screws also still missing.

Beautiful work Helmut. What was the issue with the lettering?

Hello Chuck,

supposedly the font is too fine.
Character height 0.3 mm, writing webs 0.04 and 0.1 mm sublime.

But that's not the biggest problem.
The screws for the lid are missing, too.
The cable entry as such is not seen, so I had to have some new milled.

Hi,

it comes with support Volkers on, with my BBA.
Here, a first useful casting of the lamp housing.

New cast of the lamp housing.

The diameter of the lamp is incidentally about 9.5 mm, ie a merciless magnification of the model.

It seems you and Volker are on a casting spree and have obtained similar results: Most satisfactory. -- Russ
