Two questions;
1) why are the (new) upper parts grey and not brass?
2) who is doing the etching for you?

but I want to answer the questions of Marty.

1) why are the (new) gray upperparts and not brass?
They are etched from nickel silver.
Nickel silver is for thin sheets, because of the higher stability even more suitable, such as brass.

2) who is doing the etching for you?
I leave everything in "Ätztechnik Herbert Caspers GmbH & Co. KG in Solingen" etch.

But first I have to build many small parts missing.
I hope that the locomotive will thereby gain even further.

Hello,

new here and updates to my BBA.



With the Eplositions protected lamps of the model, it should finally move on.



So the lamp housing to the design of Volker should be.



That came after the plot of the file out of it.
But unfortunately it lacks the finer points of the hex nuts as is nothing more to see.
All this put together Volker neither satisfied nor me.



The lamp housing again for comparison with a coin and the milled additional parts.



This is the first Unsuccessful attempt to manufacture the cable entry.
Unfortunately, only half succeeded, because only 0.1 mm wall thickness that travels easily in milling off and disappears into the exhaust system.

So I'll probably increase the wall thickness to scale and try again.

I'm starting to get the desired result of a full scale grommet detail.



Unfortunately, still not good enough.


Thus, the lamp housings should actually look to plan.
What came out of it, I've already shown.
The lettering Volker had already been removed at the request of the company before.


During my 3 attempt the grommet looks now from already used.
The trappings is milled from me for the rest of the lamp holder ring.

Now the protective rings around the case screws also still missing.

Hello Chuck,

supposedly the font is too fine.
Character height 0.3 mm, writing webs 0.04 and 0.1 mm sublime.

But that's not the biggest problem.
The screws for the lid are missing, too.
The cable entry as such is not seen, so I had to have some new milled.

The diameter of the lamp is incidentally about 9.5 mm, ie a merciless magnification of the model.
