No kidding, Marty. I have had that happen and seen it happen in contests where someone just picks up a model to look at it, turn it over, etc.

Washed out photo, but I was lucky to get a hint of sun. Got the hat and pump handle glued on. Just needs the nozzle n hose.

Stunning work Chuck.  There a quite a few people who can make a model, but transcending the model world to achieve total believability is a rare gift!
I think it's your eye for color and texture that makes the difference.

It's pretty scary when you can't tell a model from the real thing.

Would this be "BEST IN SHOW" no they would have to make a new category for Mr. Doan's work!!!!

Every time I look at that gas pump, I have a hard time making myself believe it's only about 3.5" tall.
