Where would one buy the kits? I looked around but didn't see a shop that has them

 EMODELS IN THE UK + Many others all do potage to the US     --- EMODELS list them under MINIART Military vehicles
But surely there are many model shops in the US that supply MiniArt models or has Europe stoped sending stuff to the US thanks to Mr T
