To install the racks, I had to drill 38 additional 1.1 mm holes in each main girder so that I could then secure them with M1 screws. For convenience, I simply glued dummy screws into the remaining 106 holes in the racks.

Installing the conductor rails was a real test of patience. The lower rail in particular—which is well hidden beneath the curved cover—put up a long and stubborn fight against installation. In the end, though, I came out on top!

Then I labeled one of the larry car rails strictly according to the prototype. These markings likely served as reference points for the larry car driver when approaching the unloading positions above the railroad cars.

The current pickup was still missing from the rear tower...

... as well as several cable conduits.

The yellow cable conduits carry electricity and are therefore made of single-core bell wire. They provide the electrical connection between the pantograph and the conductor rails on the right-hand main girder. They are shaped into the correct form using a bending jig.

Then the current pickup can also be mounted and wired to the bottom of the rear tower.

And now the big day has finally arrived: I can install the trucks, which has been ready for about 3 years.

This means the two towers are now pre-assembled to the point where they can be permanently installed under the main girders. In doing so, I had to route all the cables into the main girders, where the control system will be installed shortly.

Now it's time to install the cross-bracing between the main girders and the hopper rails.

And then it's time for some electrical and control work. I still have to install that in the bottom of the girders, before I can flip the whole thing over and set it properly on its wheels.

Absolutely overwhelming, Bernhard!
I'll make it. If I have to fly the five feet like a birdie.
I'll fly it. I'll make it.

Thanks, Bill and Volker.

Volker, I'm sure you've noticed that the first signs you drew and printed for me have now been put up.
