One for Chuck -About to attack a 1/16 Franklin Mint Fordson Tractor - before I take the hammer to it can you give me any idea of how the wheels come off - are they a push fit on the axles or are they held on with nuts /screws hidden be hide those plate things

Barney, the hub caps if you will, are plastic and are glued on. They cover screws that hold the wheels to the hubs. I carefully worked them off with a small screwdriver. The front ones were the most difficult. There should be a visible seam. I had to putty up the minor dents in the edges afterwards.

Thanks Chuck for the info – I had a go a few years back on a Universal Hobbies Fordson Tractor but it was a venture that failed miserable mainly due to the many inaccuracies on these models and out of scale parts so it all ended in the bin –the Danbury Mint Fordson appears to be a much better and only requires minor improvements compared to the Universal Hobbies version + they always seem to go for the "odd one out" prototype.
