The largest industry on the layout

The revenu earning part of the station :  The basaltworks

Based on similar structures in the middle and south of Germany I designed
      this 6 silo basaltworks.

The silo's are operational and will discharge stones into waiting waggons.
The chutes are operated by memory wire and the gates by a linkage actuated by
tortoise motors. Only one gate at the time can open and only when the chute is down.

When all silo's are filled there is enough material for a day's operating session and is weighting 6 pounds.

The reason for existence of the station together :  banking engines and basalt.

Building methode and material to be issued in the tips ans tricks session
