Title: Ford factory color ? 1935
Post by: Craig_H on June 23, 2010, 10:11:33 AM
Thinking of a different color to use on a old truck project?  And i like this faded yellow.  The panel looks like its  been painted buy the factory... or might of been a special order color for a fleet.  Dont know i never seen this color on a old ford before.          Craig

I was curious about that color so I did a bit of research. Found a website ... AutoColorLibrary (http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/)

Entering 'Ford' and '1935' into the search box .. I got thumbnails to four pages .. Page 1 shows paint chips for Plymouth, Chevolet and Ford for 1935 and 1936. Page 2 shows more info .. paint by name .. but page 4 is the jackpot. There are four colors that could be yours .. Venetian Yellow, Cream, Biarritz Cream and Tacoma Cream (Venetian Yellow looks like a match to me) .. Cool Beans.

Below is a screen capture of page 4 ..

I can't believe the stuff that turns up on this forum. Ask a question about almost anything and somebody probably can give you a good answer. Impressive. -- Russ
