Title: Lidgerwood Skidder and ......................
Post by: LLOYD on March 24, 2009, 10:15:26 AM
Hello Compadres,

A few years ago, I make for my old friend Guy J.Tyteca of Belgium, some logging dioramas in HO scale!
This one is the biggest !
The Lidgerwood Tower Skidder was built in styrene by Lyle Noah ( USA ), I painted and weathered this big model, and most complicated was to make wiring correctly, to hold the unit in good place!
It is close to the job that there is on the old navy ship....!!!!

Sincerely!

Lloyd

I think Guy sent photos of that model for a Westlake Publishing challenge a couple of years ago. Pretty amazing. -- Russ

Hello,

It's exact my Uncle !

Randy, I make the rigging lines with black linen thread, used in leather work (I'm saddle maker )!
I waxed it with bee wax to remove the fluffy effect !
On my functional Spar Tree in G scale, I used large polyester thread, more solid with friction in logging blocks, it is also waxed !
Sincerely!

Lloyd
