ScaleX have released details of a new 1/16th scale traction engine release Autumn this year
Only details I can find so far are on the Britmodeler review site BuT if its the company I have known its "don't hold your breath until its AVAILABLE " But I might be wrong -I only hope I am wrong Because I just love it !!

I saw that a week or two ago and wondered if it is something Marty could use. Then I thought, if he wants one he will just build one. Maybe it would be quicker if you built one as well !
I saw these photos of the pre-production prints on their facebook page. Detail looks great.
A couple more shots.
It certainly looks the business - and the detail looks incredible - we can only hope it is going to happen
1/16th looks the way to go !!

Someone, ANYONE! Please let me know when and where I can order one!
BTW the local train rebuilder/restorer is building one from scratch (FULL SIZE).

They go under the name of scaleX - and appear to operate through agents
But I can not find an actual site of there own - in the past it looks like they have been doing up-grade kits and modern vehicles .
But the way the reviews have been done I thought they look like a British company
below its says its Ukrainian company ! They reckon the traction engine kit release is August this year
Barney
perhaps other people might say different but that's all I can find out
Or as Nick said build it yourself - Plenty of information on the forums Gordon the scratchman site with his excellent 1/16th scale models - fantastic stuff were else but this forum !! His latest Traction engine is just "mind Blowing"

A couple of crappy photos just appeared on Faceache...
However, it is not the same machine , so I don't know what they are playing at.
The quality of their work looks first rate. If I did not already have so many irons in the fire I might be persuaded to get one myself.

Apparently they 3-D print most of their models. Pretty impressive and on the cutting edge of where our hobby seems to be heading. -- Russ
Unless I get a couple furniture commissions I guess I will have to make my own.
It will probably be 3 times the price and take 18 months to build. 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Apparently this is going to be the box art for the 1/16th version..
Just had a real good look at the last of the four photos added by Rail & Tie, showing all the gears in the drive train of the model.
It looks like a compatent person should be able to get the model to move under it's own power, that's if you can hide a battery in the model somewhere.
Bloody nice model though, reminds me of the old Bandia Pendle Princess model.
Nice image! Can you spell "AI"? -- Russ

All of a sudden the old Bandai traction engine kits are disappearing fast on EBAY - put 3 bids on 3 kits in but lost by a lot of money ! and I mean a lot of money !
Barney
There is a Bandai traction engine on ebay for $339. Who would have thought. You are spending a fortune!
To continue Narayan's sentence: "... on a kit you probably never will build." -- Russ
