COOL!
Keep 'em coming!
I really like the large scale of those trees and logs, working at this scale allows for some really fine detailing. What are the different woods that you are using?
Any chance of some overall shots of the areas that you posted the detail shots of earlier?
regards michael
Ilike what you are using for your trees and logs. Very nice.
I do however need to take issue with the loading boom....I know your logs are not as large as the ones in the following images, but I still think they would promptly destroy the boom. You might want to reconsider the construction, pivot and attachment of it.
Another pic.
Another option...though not very common/typical.
its funny you say that as i have been working on the hill between the water an the spar tree and I'm not happy with with the boom it's to short now.the 1st 2 shots you put up is what going to replace it
Hello,
enclosed this photos for an idea of a spar tree and loading boom in1:20.3 on my Wilkeson Creek Logging Co. indoor layout!
It is functional and makes it possible to charge the cars!
It is actuated by two little logs ( near the donkey ).they are used to draw the cables under the rack!
The cables pass by the drum of donkeys for realism !
Sincerely!
Lloyd
Two Ozark donkeys for the loading boom
Lloyd,
the rigging on the Dolbeer donkey in the last photo is not correct.
The drum you use for a wire to the top of the pole is actually for the haulback wire ogf the mainwire used on the vertical capstan.
The drum and it's fixation to the sled cannot take much loading into the direction you have used it.
Jacq
Cool! I´m trying to find some information about this spar trees, but only saw a lot of pics and don´t understand well how it works, are there any sketch with it??
Keep showing your good work! Helps me a lot!
Much better than the previous. Very nicely done and detailed!

Thanks again Marc, "clear as water" :D
Hello,
Jacq, I am entirely of agreement with you, concerning the dolbeer donkey!
Well, I have built that for more than ten years, and I had not experience and not the documentation of now!
In fact it would be necessary that I reverse the action of donkeys!
Also in 1:20.3 scale indoor ,there is lacks space!
Jacq, congratulations for great work on your sawmill!
Enclosed hell boom in action!
Sincerely!
Lloyd
wow that looks great i would like to see more of your layout
