There are so many it looks like this is maybe a group that builds these as a competition? Any German's know about this?

There were really two models of the Prussian S9 (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preu%C3%9Fische_S_9_Altona_561_und_Altona_562) and the Krukenberg rail-Zeppelin (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schienenzeppelin). The shown Krukenberg model would have to be a Märklin Hamo model (https://www.maerklin.de/de/produkte/details/article/37777/). The original rail-Zeppelin had only 2 axles and an auxiliary drive for the reverse journey and rides in the station. Definitely one-off succeeded models.

The photography could be a lot better but the models are just wonderful. -- Russ
