Here's a simple technique that can work for adding what looks like weathered, hand painted signs to wooden siding (don't have any photos, saw basic method on YouTube).
1. Using a LASER printer, print the, sign in reverse, the exact size you need on regular copy paper.
2. Place the sign printed side down on the siding where you want it. Press it gently onto the siding if it is not flat - like clapboard. Hold it in place without tape.
3. Brush acetone over the back of the paper. The toner (black and colors) will transfer onto the wood. The transfer won't look like a pristine new sign, but does look like a worn sign.
4. Experiment to see what works best for you, coat with a flat spray to protect.
I'll give it a try.
Thanks.
That Bill Gill is a smart dude.
Thank you.
