does anyone know when slat & wire fence* became commercially available for dune stabilization or snow retention? i would hate to join a "fence forum" just to get this one answer, but my internet searches are not turning up anything.

It must go back quite a ways. Here's a photo of a slat and wire snow fence being installed in 1940:

thank you. i have been rather embarrassed by the pointing out the picture i linked was drawn in 1947. since this is the time frame i wish to recreate, it is perfect validation for including this style fence. which i originally feared to contemporary.
