I've updated a couple of posts above with photos I made of Don's models in the contest room.
Had Don won Best of Show it would have been even better. Mike Engler took Best of Show with a large diorama (2.5 ft by 6 ft) of Sierra West logging camp kits.

Thanks for the pics Jaime and thank you all for the comments. Three of the four models entered have articles in Westlake Publications.
It was certainly worth the 40 hour round trip drive.
