Title: Great reference website for old bridges
Post by: Hauk on October 11, 2013, 04:41:22 PM
I can not recall that anyone have mentioned the excellent website historicbridges.org (http://www.historicbridges.org) before on this forum.

I was looking for prototype images of small road truss bridges, and found several hundred interesting ones on this site. Lots of pictures, and a lot of them have very high resolution.

Here is one of my favourite finds:

I've had that site bookmarked for a few years now.
Your link won't work because of the quote (") mark at the end.   Need to erase that.
Some good references there.
This is another good site: http://bridgehunter.com/ (http://bridgehunter.com/)

Not truss bridges, but an excellent set of photos of road bridges made from old rails, from southern Sweden: http://www.jvmv2.se/forum/index.php?id=136672 (http://www.jvmv2.se/forum/index.php?id=136672)
