A mechanical workshop, abt 1920. The proud young man behind the lathe is my grandfather. When I grew up in the 1950´s, the shop looked just the same, still with all machinery powered through an overhead belt system. At the time, my grandpa ran the shop on his own as a repair shop, and I spent many happy afternoons after school watching him work his magic.
