came across this site this afternoon and thought it worthwhile for all to see.

Your perspective would coincide with that of many of us. The diorama appeared here a couple of years ago and I think everybody here was impressed. -- Russ

Pretty sure these are not dioramas..these are real photos that have had some PS done to accentuate the "look". Note that the guy is a photographer. Here is his web page: http://peterlippmann.com/lippmann3/menu.html


Very cool none the less.  I think Per Olav may have been inspired by the delivery van image for the one he did for the Weathered Civilian Vehicles Book.

Those images use a process called HDR (high dynamic range)
The process involves using multiple images at different exposures (sometimes as many a 7)to get a much broader range than a cameras sensor can provide. Typically when over-done the images are much more vibrant than "normal".

I use this technique in my landscape photography but try to tone it down to keep it real.
Sometimes it is hard not to go overboard.
