Title: 3D printer - only EUR 999,00 ?!?!?!
Post by: mad gerald on May 19, 2013, 02:22:33 PM
G'day all,

just discovered a newspaper article about a 3D printer, whichs costs only EUR 999,00 ...  :o ... printing quality seems to be still an issue, regarding the article, but I guess introduction of the next generation will raise printing quality (higher resolution) and the price is expected to decrease ...

Cheers

I was wondering when to mention this and now may be the time: A longtime reader, Ells Gray, sent me a link to a company whose 3D output for N scale passenger trucks actually looks pretty good. Like an idiot I lost the link but the point is resolution improves every couple of years. -- Russ

IIRC, the other day my wife told me that one of the office supply stores like Staples or Office Depot, is going to start selling $1800 desktop 3D printers. Thats how much I paid for my first fax machine.....a thermal paper type  ;D
