Title: RRL Challenge
Post by: eTraxx on January 26, 2013, 07:55:10 AM
There's a challenge on Railroad Line Forums .. "The Par Four Challenge (http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=38875)" .. I'm playing. So far .. just scratching at plaster. Not easy taking pics of white plaster .. looking forward to adding color.

A bit further along. While not Fine Scale Modeling .. figure I can probably call it Medium ..

Just used some Leggos for a quick mold then scribed the mortar joints.

Having fun using this as a way to try stuff. Point ... I turned off the lights in the room and used a desk-top LED lamp pointing up and reflecting off of a white board back onto the model. Really like the way it lights up everything. Looking at this .. the scribed mortar lines are too dark .. thinking I may try a pin-wash with a gray'ish color

Nice carving Ed. I would be afraid of messing up a row or something.

Playing with leaf clutter .. using spices

Crushed Mint and Marjoram

See the area center front - the two bricks? Close-up ..

Using spices is a very creative idea. Glad I thought of it. -- Russ
