Title: Ball stlye railing fittings, anyone produce them?
Post by: SandiaPaul on December 04, 2012, 02:44:35 PM
Here is a link to what I mean:

http://www.boundaryfence.net/quickrail2.htm

Commonly used in industrial settings at one time.

They would need to be brass or white metal, no plastic.
O scale ish would be good.

Thanks for any leads, I have any idea of how to make them...but buying would be easier!

These might be of use, if not have a look at some of the Marine model shop/suppliers

Here is a selection of bits mostly from this same supplier, porthole is approx 8 mm in diam, and the pretty obviously the ball stanchions are in  the middle

Here is another one.
I was going to use something from them when I was
planning my O scale lighthouse.

You might be able to make your own using brass tube
and balls from the jewelry store (they are hollow).
