Title: Very nice British RR diorama
Post by: Ray Dunakin on November 10, 2012, 09:09:23 AM
This video shows a very well-done little RR diorama. It has a small, narrow gauge tram that brings out a load of coal that can be dumped into a standard gauge loading dock. However, in the video it dumps instead into a conveyor for truck loading. The really cool thing is the animated truck which drives to the conveyor and gets loaded up -- stopping at the scales to be weighed before and after loading.

Wonder how he controls the truck?  The trucks front wheels steer appropriately.  Seems small for RC, and an open dump body leaves little room to hide servos or electronics.

Mark,

It is all done with miniature radio control, when I remember the forum I will post a link to the thread showing the experiments, trials he carried out.

I think it was German equipment, and the truck itself is a metal 1/43 diecast .
