I'm working on a small pier and decided to use these On30 tie plates printed at Shapeways. I think these are a good example of the limits of the 3D process. They are at the VERY limit of what can be printed in FUD. Just finished cleaning them up and sticking to some blue tape in prep for rusting up.
(also at the VERY limits of what my camera is capable of)

Funny. It took me a minute to figure that out. *chuckle* :)

This was done last year and they were overwhelmed with orders so they were delayed. I have since (like this year) had some parts for a critter printed and they were done quickly.
(before cleaning off the wax)
