QuoteQ : Will the Light-Curing Putty cure under standard room lights?
A : The Light-Curing Putty will not cure quickly under an indirect light source such as standard room lights. When working with the putty, avoid direct sunlight and turn off any lights focused on your working area. It is not recommended to cure the putty under room lights alone as the putty may not cure completely.

Oh sure...this sounds like a winner!.... Remeber kids, dont turn on the workbench lights when using this!  WTF!?...if I m at my bench and applying carefully placed thin coats of putty, dont you think I MIGHT NEED THE WORKBENCH LEIGHTS!

QuoteQ : What's the best way to store the Light-Curing Putty?
A : After once opening the tube, tighten the cap and store the tube in the light shielding bag (included with putty). Then store in a cool shaded area.

Another joy!....Sure, Mr. Manufacturer, give me more sh** to do and deal with when I'm already busy trying to do some actual building..the thing I really I want to do is SCREW AROUND PUTTING MY PUTTY TUBE IN A LIGHT-PROOF BAG!

I have the perfect shaded area they can store their putty in!

I'm in the dark on this too ... hmm, now that I'm in the dark, maybe I'll try it ... where the fudge is it ... grope around ... stick M&M's on the model ... eat some putty ... oh yeah, that's good stuff!  8)

I don't know... the toluene-based stuff dries pretty quickly too. I would expect it would have to be right under a lamp to cure as quickly as they suggest.

Regardless, it does seem like a neat idea in concept that won't have much use on the bench.

That probably explains why it says " discontinued" at the top of the page !
