Wow, great models and very interesting prototypes... especially the street sweeper and the streamlined tanker truck. Never knew such a thing existed.

Seeing this pictures from building a bentley (http://web.me.com/gawingrove/Bentley_Build/Menu.html)  by Gerald A. Wingrove here (http://web.me.com/gawingrove/Home_Page/Home_Page.html) and here (http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/wingrove.htm), my eyes getting wide and my mouth getting wider and wider. On the following chinese page (http://bak1.beareyes.com.cn/2/lib/200402/06/20040206080_0.htm) your can see more of the production.

Enjoy!

Damn...there's a silly amount of drool on my keyboard now after flicking through those links Frithjof.  Thats an incredible account of an immaculately fabricated piece.  Some amazing craftsmanship in a model like that for sure.  Makes me very envious of the patience and thought that goes into the actual process of turning flat metal stock into such a beautiful object.

Kind of makes rapid prototyping feel really lazy doesn't it!! ;)

Thanks for the link...I'll be back there for another browse afew times I think.

Cheers,
Dan

Yes it does. Now I shall turn over in the hammock and dream about models...of some type!

Wingrove wrote a couple of How-To books.  I have them both, very nice.

Thankfully though, Dave, or whoever painted it, knew what the hell they were doing with the painting, and did a lovely job.

Excellent Model building at its finest: http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/

Especially this side of Francisco Pulido (http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Pulido.htm).

Guy!
Thanks for that, I've never seen that one before. I am always amazed how they make the culls to make the body parts, seems simple enough? Try it you'll go mad!
