Title: Nice City Dio Base
Post by: marc_reusser on January 17, 2008, 09:08:56 PM
I really liked this base and composition when I saw it. Thought it was quite dynamic, and interesting/engaging. I also really like the representation of the tile, handrailings, street pavers and debris.

This was done by Roy Schurgers from the Netherlands, and was posted on the MIG Forum:

The city house is scratchbuild from blue styrofoam, adding some details (angels) I got from Reality in Scale.
Pavement and stairs are also styrofoam and the tile wall is Evergreen.

Interesting approach and well executed... I particularly like that the stairs extend diagonally through the base. Makes it much more dynamic.

A rare example of where you almost can't tell if you're looking at a model or at something full size. Any givaway appears to be the result of scale rather than execution. Superb.
