Title: Solidworks/STL question
Post by: Bexley on November 03, 2010, 12:08:11 AM
I would like to give Print a part a try. I have Solidworks, but it is the student version. Which is still pretty full-featured, but lacks one important criteria fro PaP- it will not save as or export a file to the .STL format.

I think I recall one or more of you had access to the pro version. If this is the case, I would like to ask a favor of you: if (when I get around to sitting down and making the part) I sent you the Solidoworks file, would you loas it up in Solidworks, save it as a .STL, and mail it back to me?

Alternatively, I could use Sketchup (which I'm reasonably familliar with) but I think what I want to do will be much much easier in Solidworks.
