Title: Bridge Diorama
Post by: NORCALLOGGER on July 27, 2010, 04:25:48 PM
Hi Guys,
This isn't fine scale but it is pretty impressive just the same.  The sheer size of the thing is mind boggeling.  Take a look then think about what it would take to detail it out like you guys do.

Holy moly!! That's is a HUGE model, and very nicely done! I wonder if the original still exists? It's a beautiful bridge.

Indeed ... what a project!

Ray, I'll just be a wikipedia idiot here, as it's a convenient source .... the model is based on the medieval London Bridge.  This page has some images of old and new:

I am really impressed with what the builder has accomplished so far.

It's really a great and impressive model. Ray, if you want a still existing bridge (not the same though), you might consider the Ponte Vecchio in Firenze, Italy.
