Doing ok here in Ontario. We're under a state of emergency and only essential businesses are open. PJ and I live in a somewhat isolated rural community and have basically been living a hermetic life style for years, so the isolation and distancing protocols have had little impact on us. Fortunately our provincial and federal governments cast partisanship aside and have acted quickly, effectively, and responsibly to guide and support residents through the crisis. Our community is strong, neighbours are watching out for each other. I continue to work as usual from the home studio. The good news is spring is here in all senses and scents: the snow is gone, buds are beginning to appear, early plants are popping up, and the area farmers are spreading lavish amounts of manure on the fields around us... Stay safe everyone!

Stay low, keep quiet, keep it simple, don't expect too much, enjoy what you have.

Hi all from Eugene, Oregon. Like most we are hunkered down. We are pretty much stuck inside as we are getting fairly heavy (much needed) rain. I have had lots of time my studio where I am building 1/12th scale model of an old Chinese/Mongolian two wheel cart. We are well and hope so for all on this forum.

Barney, the windows on my structures are laser cut Strathmore "kits" I designed in AutoCAD; my friend, Tom Fitzgerald, cut them out. I suppose they qualify as "scratchbuilt". Every model you see in that photo is inkjet printed paper.

I've been shooting digital macro photos of the 35mm color slides I used in the days before it was feasible to store digital scans. Overall the results seem to equal or surpass the results I got from my original scans but they take at least half an hour to "trick out" before they're ready for primetime. That's been my main time-wasting activity since the corona virus hit the world. It's good finally to have digital versions of those photos.

The past few years have brought drought, massive fires, hot weather, and now a pandemic. Some fun!

We're hunkered down safely here in Maine, too.
I'm working on a large-scale fantasy diorama,
with an Ogre and Gnomes. No pics yet.

Hi guys, greetings from Switzerland
Fortunately, we are all healthy. Thanks to the lockdown I finished my TACL project and now I continue working on the bucket chain excavator. The only problem is, when the material runs out.
Stay healthy and creative.

That Fordson tractor loco looks great! How big is it? Does it run?

Ray, the model is in 1/35th scale on 16.5 mm track gauge. There is no space for the installation of an motor. But I was able to reproduce the drive concept true to the original.
But I built a workshop car with a small motor inside. So I can push the TACL rail tractor.

I wouldn't mind seeing the one in the background close up...

Well observed Chuck. You'll probably recognize him. In fact ,I took the liberty of using the drawings from your thread, among other things, for the realization.

Reminds me of the one you started and never finished.

Wonderful job Bernard! I'm glad somebody actually finished one! I like your color choices too!
