Stumbled across a forum for machinists:
http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/

They have a separate section dedicated to antique machinery:
http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/antique-machinery-history/

And, if you go to google and do an image search as follows:
site:practicalmachinist.com/vb/antique-machinery-history/

... you can see lots of photos without having to dig thru all the threads ... then click a specific photo to get into more info, etc.

Or you can narrow that down further using an external search engine:
site:practicalmachinist.com/vb/antique-machinery-history/ (add search term)

for example:
site:practicalmachinist.com/vb/antique-machinery-history/ vise
site:practicalmachinist.com/vb/antique-machinery-history/ drill press
etc

Cheers,
Dallas
