The 5.0 x 5.0 mm brass corner sections have the same hole pattern received as the outer walls. For this I have milled a groove in a hard paper gauge and placed opposite two equal length brass profiles with the thighs.

As a stop serve two small brass plates. Everything was fixed with Tesakrepp (not visible in the photos). In addition to the 1.0 mm holes, the respective top was milled in length with a 0.8 mm deep 1.2 mm cutter. The profiles have a wall thickness of 0.6 mm.
Thereafter, both profiles were rotated and the same procedure was carried out with the required parts separated to the final dimension now.

The bonnet is made of 0.2mm nickel silver.
For bending, I have built a small auxiliary gauge to be able to bend the two sides equally in radius. The chimney hole serves for exactly centered alignment.

I enjoy not only a finished model, but also the implementation and modification of an idea in order to arrive at this model.
I modified the bending template a bit.
In order to press the nickel silver plate better with the bending block to the curves of the 6.0 mm brass rods, I have further milled out the base plate.
I also made two sheets of hard paper. They hold the brass rods securely on the base plate with the 6.0mm Allen screws.
Even if the milled 0.2 mm nickel silver sheet is bent transversely to the rolling direction, it has an enormous spring force.
Therefore, the distance between the two brass rods was already brought closer by 1.0mm.

fspg2, I don't know your real name. What is the purple material you are using for jigs? I see you refer to hard paper, is that what it is? I have not seen any thing like it here in the States. Very interesting looking material.

laminated paper, synthetic resin bonded paper, Pertinax®, Bakelite®, ...
But, please uses a filtering facepiece when working with these materials.
Another sheet was annealed before bending. It could be more precisely adapted to the desired radius.

... I cut the bottom protruding threads roughly with a small side cutter. Then the remaining supernatants were smoothed on a sandpaper board.
Since the height of these screw heads seemed to me a bit too high and bothered production-related sharp parting stubs, I also pulled the top of the head over the sandpaper.

For testing I had let print two buffers at Shapeways from Black Hi-Def acrylate (The material is no longer in the delivery program since a few days), I did not want to spend 120.00 € for the brass version, without knowing if all fits...... Grrrrrrrr.... The size was true to the point ....... only the stuff is just too soft, it stinks and is very light. The support structures are very easy to sand, but brass is just brass. ;)

The hood I had bent in a bending template and thereby let the two side walls protrude longer to have enough material when bending.

The M 0.6mm screws with a wrench width of 1.0mm I had previously shortened to 1.5mm length and brought the head height to about 0.4mm.

The bonnet is connected to the front plate with several hexagon bolts. In my five locomotives that should be implemented as well.
In order to drill the 0.5mm holes in the 1.0mm thick sides of the front plates and the 2.0mm wide brackets of the engine cover, small Pertinax gauges were milled again.

In the mini vice, the sheets and brackets were clamped. The respective Pertinax teachings were used to accurately position the drill holes.

After half of the holes I had to take a break, as the clamped 0.5mm drill was broken (by my own carelessness). As I changed the drill, the box fell with the last remaining drill to the ground .... now, of course, the drill is much shorter than before!
New drills are ordered!
For the two windows, I got a width of 500mm and a height of 350mm. So I had calculated the outer edges of the window frame with these dimensions.
When compared to photos from the prototype (https://www.google.de/search?q=Demag+ML+15&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjVm-jAj8HhAhXGsaQKHZmrAagQ_AUIDygC&biw=1442&bih=1059), my window size seemed quite small.
So the old things were handed back to the scrap dealer and 12 wall parts milled again from 0.3mm nickel silver, now with an adjusted inside dimension! Likewise, new window frames were created.

Wonderful fixtures! This is the highest form of fabricating.
In order for the techniques to work as desired, the CAD program is a great help.
The two center bonnet mounts were also pre-drilled with 0.5mm and then the 0.6mm threads cut.

In this moment the front model has so far 38 rivets (1.5mm x 1.0mm x 1.5) and 34 M0.6mm screws (SW 1.0mm) installed.
But a few more rivets and screws will be added soon.
They could only be tamed with pointed tweezers and a strong headband loupe.

It is quite difficult to mount these small M0.6mm nuts on the screws. The Allen wrench does not always help, because the nuts are turning part way sometimes.
But with patience, a headband loupe and a pointed tweezers, after soldering, all the pieces were sitting.

Before the roof was milled out, I drilled 0.5mm holes on both long sides. Later they will pick up the rivets for the roof attachment.

When assembling the small M0.6-mm screws (wrench size 1.0 mm), it proved difficult to fix the screw heads on the opposite side when mounting the nuts. First attempts with a small piece of wood to fix the screw heads were not very helpful.

No matter how many teeth the middle gear has, for the gear ratio of gears only the two outer gears have to be considered: 19/9 = 2,11. The middle gear only bridges the distance between the two motor and drive axles.

So it would be interesting to know if you have done any calculations on the pulling power of your engine. And have you estimated the weight of your model?

Sorry, I can't give you any precise details about the engine power at the moment. The weight of the locomotive will be around 450gr later.
So that things can continue with the Demag ML15 soon, I asked the caster to print the wheels and the buffers. They were duplicate with silicone molds.

The pressure levels disappeared by light sanding. They were barely visible to the naked eye before.
Next time I will get the first master print made in brass and sand it smooth before it will be molded in silicone. Now I have to flatten every single buffer. Time required about 5 minutes per part.
The rounded hood for the Kemna three-wheel roller was printed by the same caster - at that time it came with no visible pressure levels.

A 4.5mm brass rod was placed in a 4.5mm deep and 4.5mm wide milled groove and fixed with Tesa tape.
A 1.5mm hole 8.0mm deep was drilled at both ends of the rod. So I was able to secure the rod with two brass pins in the groove against twisting.
Then 2.5mm deep holes were drilled with an 1.4mm cutter (!).
That is, the holes only go to the middle of the bar.
Finally, 2.0mm deep notches were milled close to the milled holes with an 1.0mm cutter.

I made the brass rod twice.
In addition, the two 1.5mm holes drilled at the respective ends were used to align the two opposite profiles. 1.5mm brass wires were inserted.
Now the 13 wires (1.4mm in diameter) could be introduced into the opposite blind holes.
No, even if it looks like it will not be a ladder - at the end, only 12 identical parts are required! One part is for exercise ;-)

Originally I wanted to braze the parts.
After two colleagues convinced me to solder the parts softly, I didn't have to "soften" the thin coupling rods.
The stability should also be sufficient, especially since the coupling rods do not transfer any function to the second axis.

Wow! Such fine work!
Although Christmas has already passed a few days, today it seemed to me again as if there were gifts.
The post brought a small package with fully assembled axles for the Demag ML15.
Since my lathe is still being dismantled and waiting for improvements, a model builder friend has kindly made the effort to finish the casted wheels (http://www.buntbahn.de/fotos/data/9409/2903Demag-ML15_Rad_12.jpg).
This included cutting off the sprue tree, turning the wheel profile, fitting the insulating bushes, mounting the two wheels with a 90° offset, turning the small dome bolts and fitting them into the wheel bores, ... certainly a number of intermediate steps, which needed probably a lot of time to get all axes identical.
For the next wheels for the Gmeinder 10-12 I will have to add a little more allowance for the tyre, because Achim had to juggle a little, which he managed to do really well! Thanks a lot for this.

Now I have to mill the four bearing shells out of 20.0mm x 8.0mm MS58.
To do this, I have brought the file that was already created for the Gmeinder 10-12 (http://www.buntbahn.de/fotos/showphoto.php?photo=86008&size=big&password=&sort=7&thecat=7835) to the new dimensions.
Since I do without rail power and want to drive with Deltang, the mushroom contacts are omitted.
This makes the two drive blocks significantly shorter.

The first bearing shells were milled out.
A pocket was milled 5.0mm deep into an MDF board and a 20mm x 8.0mm MS58 square bar was inserted.
Even if it was already sitting tight in the recess, I also drilled five 3.0mm holes. After wood screws fixed the rod, I could start.

During the last milling process, I left small retaining bars between the bearing shells and the residual material (fixed with the screws).
Before the final sandblasting, the retaining bars on a grinding wheel were removed.

After I had inserted the first mounted axis into the milled test bearing block, an error on my part came to light.
I had specified the bevel gears (https://ghw-modellbau.de/product_info.php?products_id=3243) in the CAD drawing with 10.2mm (instead of 10.5mm) and then drew the gear blocks . Everything fit there.
During assembly, the two bevel gears, offset by 90 °, sat very tightly - without any play - in the half-shells.
The remedy was that Achim kindly lend a hand again and put the two collars of the ball bearings on the outside. So I gained 0.5mm in the lateral displacement of the bevel gear on the axis.

For the bevel gear of the central axis, I minimized the wall thickness by 0.5mm. Mounted in this way, both gears can be wonderfully adjusted to get a smooth run.
In addition, a recess was milled into the two upper covers so that the Allen screws of the bevel gears could be readjusted a little when screwed together.
