I'm happy to see some new category breakouts, not because it was really necessary but because it will hopefully draw some serious non-railroad modelers in that otherwise would have thought this forum was only about trains.

I've posted a photo of this before but I'm thinking maybe it deserves an interesting display base.  I don't want to do anything real time consuming and complicated but it would be a much more interesting model if placed in an appropriate environment.  Any ideas?

How about a little base where it can look as though it's stuck in the mud? The finish all but begs for it. -- Russ

If that is an engine hanging off the back, what about the donor truck below it mostly covered in the mud?
A couple of shovels and hand prints on the donor truck?

Hmm.....stuck in the mud and a donor truck.  I like both ideas.  The engine hanging off the boom is Model A Ford and I have plenty Model A body parts in my parts stash.  I don't want a base much larger than the Bantam itself so if I went that route I'd show just maybe the front of the body, maybe from the cowl foward partially buried.  I could leave a hole between the fenders where they obviously had to dig the engine out but have the shovel stuck in the mud in front of the rear wheel where they are not digging the Bantam out.

I like these new categories, too.  More room to share stuff that might not fit elsewhere.
Nice work, Dave.  A truck only a Mudder could love......
