Mal's article focuses on what he and others saw when the Argent was still active, but toward the end of operations. He provides both black-and-white and color images from a variety of photographers. It is an excellent 40 page treatment of the line although it, too, has only a few photos showing structures. -- Russ

I believe I have some photos that show the engine house, water tank, and some small shed...theyre not too different from some of the ones on the site....I can see if I can find them if anyone is interested.

Yes Marc, I'd definitely be interested in those, if you could pull them up.

Thanks

I think Mal will continue his Argent coverage next year. His usual pattern in follow-up articles is to include plans and reference photos for modeling. -- Russ

Has been one of my favorites for years. Who can resist all that rust and tumble. I would love to see more shop shots.

I have Tom Yorkes (thin) Mag from way back plus Mal's book. I think Beebe and Clegg took some pics. And now the Logging Annual. The next Classic Trains mag is promising an article, but I have no idea if it it will be anything new.

Here is what I found during a quick search through my pics...as mentioned not all that much different from the stuff on the site...just some different views/angles.

The last/bottom pic shows a bit of an overall view of the yard with the camp houses being stored in the background.

I believe I have some additional pics (unscanned) but I will have to find the time to dig through my boxes; I will post them if there is anything really different or interesting.

I'm going to guess that Mal won't duplicate those shots. It will be fun to see what happens next year. -- Russ
