During the exhibition, I  was very pleased to meet Simon HARRIS.  It was a pleasure and an honor for me that he runs his  loco and rolling stocks on my layout. He gave me also the excellent idea of the chain shunting, brilliant ! I was also impressed by his battery loco, a system that I ignore all because I'm in DCC.

I had the pleasure to meet also  Stephan, Peter and  3 - 4 others 7/8 th scale modellers (I hope the will forgave me to not be able to site them).

I'm already invite for 3 others exhibitions in UK so I hope it will be another occasion to meet others 7/8th scale modellers.

Articles will be written in British railway modelling and in narrow gauge industrial railway modelling review on the Woolacombe Bay so I hope it will contribute a little to the development of this fantastic scale.

Few photos of the layout during the exhibition with loco and rolling stock from Simon Harris

Sounds like you had a good time!

The layout looks nice, and I like Simon's little blue loco.

I will do the exhibition in october at à Sedan (France) , then in novembre at Rail Expo (near Paris). I will exhibit also at The London festival of Raiway Modelling in 22 March 2014 - 23 March 2014. I will come with a lister and a ruston that are nearly ready.

It will be another occasion to meet others 7/8 modellers.

You may read an article on my layout in the last issue of British Railway Modelling of November page 52 and more.

I get 2 new recruits to Woolacombe Bay : Bob and Doug Mckenzie, the cousins of Canada of the owner of the railroad !

I choose them because they are very expressive, a little simple-minded and a bit drunky.

I would like to have your opinion : Do you pefer Bob and Doug or th fisherman figure ? Thanks for your reply.

I have not at the time I done the video. For my next exhibition, I will show the guy.

I like the Bob and Doug figures because they have a more relaxed, natural pose and more interesting features/clothing. The other guy looks very generic.

I just finish the railexpo exhibition near Paris. I surprisingly won the 1st prize. I have done 2 videos of high quality with the sound and with Bob and Doug :

Congrats!

Great videos, love the sound. Are the engine sounds from an onboard system, or something else?

thanks for the kind remark.

For the sound, I have a decoder on board without sound plus a decoder (esu locksound) in parallel under the layout. The esu is linked to a sub woofer plus 2 satellites in order to have a punchy sound for the exhibition.
