Title: Hubley School Bus
Post by: Jerry Barnes on January 03, 2010, 09:48:44 AM
I got a metal Hubley school bus at an antique show. Left it out all summer and the paint finished peeling pretty good. So I sanded it down good and sprayed it with Krylon Primer, then Caution Yellow my XO Rust brand paint. It had no interior so I made some crude seats out of wood and put plastic in the windows. Some wheels from a semi that came with a crane set I am bashing worked out well to replace the Hubleys and gave me duals in the back. Wife is cutting lettering for it. Plastic got a bit messed up with the glue but should look fine 10' into my layout and the windows will soon be covered with hard water deposits anyway.

The windows seem pretty good, considering how difficult it usually is to fit "glass" into those toy vehicles. Looks like the front windshield got the worst of it though.
