Ok soon at the end  :P
so here's Lucky Lady and Goin' South
but's there's a lot to do: fishing material and nets , ropes marks & number also a bit of weathering
tires on sides etc...

As small boats are one of my things, these are superb.

Admit I was a bit worried about the deck planking early on but its turned out just about perfect. As you say a bit of clutter will finish them nicely, and I admire the subtle amount of weathering you have done.

Beautiful clean model contrary to many models here including my own that are about to fall apart! ;D ;D ;D  Weathering is just perfect and so is everything else of course.

Chris

Thanks Anders :)
In my opinion if you have a boat with rusty parts everywhere with paint chipping,
holes between planks, don't sail on it ;D
from what I saw in Florida many are in really good conditions
The main operations to maintain a wood hull for sailing is "caulking"
i'm not sure of the term in english but here's a video of this kind of work!!!

boy, i bet there is a lot of O scale modellers would love to get their hands on this as a kit.

mike

I bet your right Mike.

Chris beautiful work.

Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?

Chris

thanks Jerry

making a kit is not really the problem
the price is the real problem for this kind of boat with all the details in the box
how many modelers do you think, want to buy a shrimp boat in 1/4 scale
and only waterline model ???
If you check the web on model boat stores also forums on naval modeling
many kits are sailing model with motors etc... in big scale
others scratchbuilt specific models
In fact a few are shrimp boats
only Lindberg in S scale  ::) made a shrimp trawler in plastic
I think it's too specific, many people prefer to have the titanic or USS Constitution ;D
The two companies who made something different are Dumas & Deans Marine
they produced beautiful kits: tug boats, cargos, tow boats etc... that could fit on HO diorama or layouts also in O scale
Thanks to them for their works
I kwow other companies in England and other country but nothing in 1/4' scale

Cabin cruiser for my naval shipyard now  ::)
I received my MP15 for the dio also, we tested it on the MRS layout, the sound is fantastic, DCC technology is always in progress
the difficulty is to find time for this big project  ;D

Nothing wrong with those boats at all. In fact, I would like to feature them in a future Modelers' Annual, one I plan to do in a couple of years when advertising becomes unnecessary. -- Russ
