Oh wow. Thank you very much for all the kind words and support.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I have been busy with work and away from the forum. It was both flattering and embarrassing to se ones name in the subject heading re this event. I was definitely trying to keep it low key and under the radar.

The awards were a very humbling and uncomfortable experience. I felt much more comfortable with the NNGC experience.  :-[
(I sent the photo to Russ, only as part of a discussion, and to show the weird dichotomy between the two shows.)

Going to and entering the show ended up being just a last minute decision.

I was fortunate not to be in the same categories as Adam Kuller and his fine models, and to be in a couple of what I would consider "light" categories ("Non-Armor Vignettes & Dioramas" & "Other: things that don't fit anywhere else". My biggest surprise did come in the "1/51 Scale & Smaller Armor" category, where there were many pieces, and a couple of them were IMO really well done and superior.

I am also very happy that I do not build aircraft models.....that is a really insane and anal crowd, to put it mildly. But their results/efforts are wonderful to peruse.

Thanks again for all the kind words.

Grats on some fine models.  Fun to win trophies but also humbling and a bit awkward.
A screw up on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on mine.

Excellent mental therapy

Congrats Marc.

Your Garage is a great example of what can be done with a condensed footprint, with plenty of scope for detail.  ( hope that sounded right )

cheers mate
