On30 Crew car

I've built this car as part of one of the Railroad-Line challenges. While I consider it finished and "displayable", I may come back to add some more details, on the walls.
Inspiration for the car was found on the On3 Red Stag and large scale Sundance Central layouts, which both have a nice bobber.
The car was built following the usual techniques. The rolled roofing is made out of fine sandpaper. While I've inserted no weight in the chassis, I've put many relatively heavy things on the deck (small rocks in the crate, two white metal drums, small bolts in a trunk below the seats) that lead to a relatively heavy car, which shouldn't track too bad. The lettering was handmade, it was my first attempt at doing this, and the story will be that an apprentice had to do the job instead of the ill usual painter of the company...

You're right, Russ (I guess that "Uncle" is not mandatory, is it?). I often forget the brake shoes, especially on these Grandt trucks that are a snap to assemble but that have no extension to allow for the easy mounting of a cross bar holding the shoes. I'll have to devise a mounting system or to find other trucks.
But it will have to wait at least for a week. My Arizona diorama is to be displayed at the end of the week and the backdrop has not yet been started...

Neat project.

FWIW I made inside hung brake beams for the Grandt Sideframes like this, using a McLeod bolster (because you can't glue parts to the Grandt delrin ones).

Marty, you're right, this would be the easiest path.
