Bit difficult to decide where to post this , but as its got boat in the title we'll stick it here.

All started when I mucked up some PE spokes on a 1/35 scale bicycle and therefore was left with a frame with no wheels , then I remembered this buried in the "one day projects file"

Some plastic card and brass tubing got me to this stage

Things were going well until I got a bit too keen with the hair dryer to dry off the paint

Cut out the bent frames and replaced with some 30 thou rod, the wood finish done with the standard WW1 Modellers approach of light coloured acrylic undercoat, brushed out burnt umber oil paint and the a top glazed coat of Tamiya clear yellow

Once I have figured out how to display/use this piece I will add the rudder, which fits on front of bike.

I never much cared for scallops, but those look tasty.   ;)

Nice work Gordon. I like the simulated shellac finish on the wood.

You may ask yourself: "Well, how did I get here?"
