@Bill, @Russ, @Bernhard, @Stuart, @Barney
Gentlemen - thank you very much for your words of praise :)

Now it's time for a bit of hard work again.

The western and eastern side bridges are mounted on support beams, each consisting of 137 individual parts.

Träger-Montage 103 (fspg2)

Träger-Montage 102 (fspg2)

The two sets of four inner cross members are mounted and soldered using a small Pertinax jig.

Träger-Montage 100 (fspg2)

Träger-Montage 106 (fspg2)

The six 1.0 mm rivets on the sides fit into the corresponding holes from the long beams.

Träger-Montage 107 (fspg2)

Träger-Montage 108 (fspg2)

As a test, the first loosely assembled support beam was inserted into the left portal beam - everything fits so far

Träger-Montage 109 (fspg2)

A number of wire pins in the upper area of the gantry beam still need to be wound into rivet heads.

Träger-Montage 110 (fspg2)

I watched a YouTube clip a few years ago on spraying Vallejo without blockage.

It works well and I've used it since.

Great scene! I really like that figure, too. It's well-proportioned, a lifelike pose, and good detail in the rake.

Painting & Weathering Techniques / Thinning Vallejo Paints
Last post by Lawton Maner - March 13, 2025, 07:27:40 PM
I am looking for experiences of members thinning Vallejo Paints with something other then their thinner.

I use Windex followed by a water flush to clean my air brushes today because it is a cleaner with ammonia.  Works well for me (your mileage may very!)

The March 2024 issue of Model Railroader has an article on painting figures.  Applicable to all scales.  Add a magnifying lamp and one could add eye brows in large scales.
One of very few articles in MR worth saving in the last year.  My solution is Staples and then eBay to recycle the issue.

Hi Russ, Stuart,Bill and Peter.
How are you doing? I appreciate your interest.
Peter I do not paint any of my figures but collect good ones.
One of my favourite figure artists is Volker Bauer from Germany.
All the best

I like this pituresque scene with the elderly woman very much. Figures often play only a marginal existence on layouts, although they could contribute a lot to the atmosphere.
I won't exempt myself from that subject. I was never able to paint a reasonably serious figure - sadly  :-\
