No special lens or other fancy equipment, I do use manual focus and move the lights around a bit to reduce shadows and such.
Must admit that lately I've started using Adobe Photoshop just to rebalance some pictures but usually limit it to colour correction, reduce shadow and lighten/darken as required. All the other functions I'll leave for the more computer literate people to play with, I have enough troubles finding the files I want to work with  :D.
