Gordon, I've seen siding like that down south (everywhere is south of me BTW) and heard it called novelty siding. It is usually a full 3/4" or more thick and has a ship lapped joint.
   Chuck, good find.

Boy, I would really like to see a pic of this store/gas station when it was in business.  Must have had a sign hanging from the front on the metal pole still there.

Also, in the pic of the back window, does anybody seem to see a person's head and part of the body in there looking back at us?
