IN THE FIRST quarter of 2000, I completed an eight foot long by thirty inch wide HO scale standard gauge diorama layout for FINESCALE RAILROADER's Diorama Challenge and a feature in the March 2001 issue.
When SierraWest Models' HO scale Deer Creek Machine Shop appeared, it offered two opportunities: First, assembling the kit as a diorama would provide a beautiful addition to my main layout. Second, it could serve as a focal point for a new branchline....
