It looks great and as usual I am always in awe of your skills and talent! I cannot believe its been so long since my original drawings for the Lombard rail truck
appeared in the Gazette.

Lately I have been able to play with one of the few surviving beasts as well as its steam powered predecessor.

Thanks guys for your comments. Here's  the last Work Truck  I started painting (step A) Scalecoat II # 2001 Loco Black  (Matte).(step B) Yellow  Humbrol  # MATT 154. The black is out of a rattel can.The yellow is 50% paint 50% Lacquer Thinner. (Air brushed) (step C) Washed Raw Umber  artist oil and Odorless Turpenoid.( Hand brush) I use Spray Lacquer (Dullcote) between all steps and at the end of the process.  I got the Scalecoat paint online. from Minuetman Scale Models .
The cab is made up out of  Evergreen styrene sheet,strips and angle. The four walls come apart at the corners. Diferent colors on outside and inside of cab makes constrution a little harder.The window glass is  Evergreen clear sheet that will slid in from the top of the wall after the cab  is finished and painted. To start the core layer is cut  out of .030 styrene sheet  the four walls  are cut  to size. Cut out the window opening on each of the walls. On the corners of the  front and rear walls I added  a .250 styrene angle on the outside of the core wall  and a .188 styrene angle (this angle is .025 thick. I added 005 styrene strip to even it up to .030.)  on the inside of the core wall back .030  from the corner  give a little extra space so the side wall can slide in easyer. On the outside of the  cab (front and rear walls) the core layer can also be the finish layer only need to add the trim layer. On the inside of the core you  need a  layer  .015 sheet styrene and clear sheet styrene for the window glass  and a layer of .015 to go up next to the glass,and to level up to the inside of the  .188 styrene corner angle and a layer of trim. Around the top of the walls outside and inside  a .125 x.250 styrene strip and on top of the walls just to the outside of the window layer a .125 x .125 styrene  strip that the roof fits over. To get the round corner  I added  to the side walls a.030 quarter round and a extra .030 layer and a layer of trim to finish the wall out.

Inside wall and  Extra Outside Wall...Green
